Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

Yesterday, the Internet kind of broke when Lucasfilm released the new trailer for the upcoming film, The Last Jedi.  You can watch the teaser in its all-too-short glory below:

With little surprise, the internet did what it does best after that: Watched it obsessively and critiqued/gleaned every nuanced second of it.  i09 compiled one of my favorite lists of reveals from the trailer, that you can read about here.

My personal favorite reveal is that Captain Phasma, the do-nothing "bad ass" from The Force Awakens may actually be doing something noteworthy.

They also released the new cover art for the movie, prompting its own questions.  Why are Luke and Rey red? Why does their lightsaber transition from blue to red?  Does Rey become a Jedi? What does this mean compared to the quote in the trailer, "I know only one truth: It's time for the Jedi to end?"

How does all of this fit into the recent revelation that Thrawn is in Rebels?  Will he get a head nod in the post-Trilogy canon as well as the pre-Trilogy? What does all of this mean!?
